dll files actually helped since the reinstall restored all my previous settings so it is just like I never installed the update in the first place. Then rebooted the computer and reinstalled version 3.09 and it worked fine. dll files couldn't be deleted, I just hit ignore and finished the uninstall. I took a chance and instead of purging I just uninstalled through Windows. I also had to restore all of my Fences from a snapshot I had saved before installing the problem version 3.1.05. I rebooted again and installed version 3. I ran the purge file again and it completed successfully & the Fences folder was now deleted along with the dll file. I checked and the FencesMenu64.dll was still in the Fences folder. The first time I ran the purge file it came back with an error that C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences\FencesMenu64.dll could not be deleted because it was in use.
